Assistant Manager (Communications), Eastern General Hospital Planning Office
The upcoming Eastern General Hospital (EGH) seeks to provide excellent healthcare and promote healing that is centred around each person. When operational, EGH will provide a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient clinical specialties and healthcare services covering emergency, acute and secondary care. EGH’s vision is to be a great hospital for the community and a great workplace for staff, and it seeks to do so by harnessing innovative technologies in patient care, journeying closely with patients and the community to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives, and being an employer of choice that empowers staff in their careers.
You will be part of the EGH communications team that manages the communications for the development, opening and eventual running of the new hospital. This includes building EGH’s profile as an up-and-coming hospital, developing and implementing communications strategies and tactics to meet organisational goals, and setting up and maintaining key communications platforms to engage EGH’s target audience.
A significant part of your role will be in digital communications, particularly in developing and managing EGH’s online presence and reputation via social media and digital channels. You will set up and manage EGH’s social media channels and develop content such as write-ups, videos, images, social media posts or other interactive elements to meet EGH’s communications objectives.
Additionally, you will contribute actively to EGH’s integrated communications efforts including internal and external communications, and work with the team to provide communications support for events and community engagement as appropriate.
