You will work at the intersection of healthcare research, data governance, and technology, contributing to platforms and partnerships that enable high-impact clinical and translational research.

 

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to serve as a key integrator across data governance, financial management, and cross-institutional collaboration within the SingHealth Data Science Innovation and Research Platforms (SDIRP) ecosystem. This role supports the responsible use of research data while facilitating meaningful partnerships with local and global stakeholders, including institutions such as A*STAR and NTU.

 

What You Will Do:

You will support the implementation of existing processes governing research data access, use, and documentation across the SDIRP ecosystem, ensuring alignment with SingHealth and relevant regulatory requirements. This includes assisting with data privacy and security matters and supporting awareness of responsible data and AI use in healthcare research environments.

 

On the financial side, you will assist with procurement processes for existing research platforms, collate and analyse financial reports to support budget tracking, and monitor departmental expenditure to ensure activities remain within approved budgets and comply with organisational policies. You will also help maintain the central grants database, tracking timelines, milestones, deliverables, and budget usage to support timely submission of grant reports and proper documentation of grant agreements.

 

You will provide operational and administrative support to ongoing departmental initiatives, coordinating with stakeholders across different institutions, research teams, IT personnel, and external partners to facilitate day-to-day operations.

 

You will assist in supporting data science projects within the SDIRP ecosystem, including existing platforms such as the Research Data Lake (RDL) and Mayo Clinic Platform (MCP), helping to guide research teams through data access processes and supporting their use of available platforms and capabilities.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any related healthcare, life sciences, engineering, or related discipline with preferably 2 years of relevant working experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic knowledge of financial literacy with some experience in account management
  • Experience in project management methodologies and concepts is advantageous
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous and evolving environments with changing priorities
