Associate Principal Analyst, Data Science, Office of Insights and Analytics

We are seeking an Associate Principal Analyst to support the management of data applications, projects, and analytics platform maintenance. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, whilst helping to drive data adoption across our healthcare network through training and development initiatives.

What You'll Do:

You will support the day-to-day management of data applications and projects, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with SingHealth's digital strategy. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to help translate business requirements into technical deliverables, whilst contributing to the development and enhancement of data applications and analytics tools. You'll work with stakeholders to define and validate business and analytics needs, ensuring strategic alignment with organisational objectives. Additionally, you'll assist in designing, developing, and facilitating training programmes on healthcare data and analytics platforms, creating training materials, organising workshops, and providing ongoing support to staff. You'll also maintain awareness of emerging technological trends to support information architecture implementation and communicate project updates effectively to business users to encourage data adoption.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Systems Engineering or related quantitative disciplines with 3 years of technical solutions experience, including in Big Data/Data Warehouse/Analytics areas.
• Experience collaborating with business and technology stakeholders on data products development.
• Operational experience managing analytics applications.
• Proficient in database tools, technology and architecture.
• Deep understanding of big data techniques (Hadoop, Map Reduce, Hive, Pig, Spark).
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and visualisation tools (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Tableau, D3.js).
• Hands-on experience in Structured Query Language (SQL), Python and R.
• Familiarity with dimensional modelling and Machine Learning concepts.
• Cloud-based analytics platforms experience and healthcare experience are advantageous.
