Deputy Director, Office for Service Transformation

You will have a broad responsibility in leading the efforts of the Office for Service Transformation in executing and implementing programs and its related projects. These efforts will lead to improvements in patient care and service, and the overall service transformation for SingHealth. Your responsibilities will include the following:

 

  • Leading on specific service transformation projects and task force initiatives as appointed
  • Oversee the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and reporting of projects
  • Oversee data gathering/mining activities, analysing and identifying of potential areas for improvement, and tracking of improvement impact of projects
  • Drive the communications of projects to engage stakeholders, create positive momentum for transformation, and facilitate successful implementation of projects
  • Engage external agencies to explore collaboration and synergistic partnership, in areas such as IT, funding and domain knowledge that will value-add to service transformation projects
  • Ensure close liaison and engagement with internal and external partners in policy and operational review and coordination
  • Assist the Director in putting in place and executing regular strategy review, budget planning and putting in place an effective planning framework which addresses the department and organization’s priorities
  • Oversee secretariat support at task force, stakeholder, projects and any other assigned meetings
  • Involve in or support initiatives at the Divisional-level, SingHealth Office for Innovation (SHOFI) or the MedTech Office (MTO) on an ad-hoc / request basis
  • Other responsibilities as tasked by the Director, OST

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, with 12 years of relevant working experience.
  • A team player with strategic and analytical skills.
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to think outside of the box.
  • Adept at handling complex, ambiguous and challenging situations and comfortable with change in a fluid environment and a growing organisation.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge & skills in process improvement, improvement methodologies and tools & techniques, such as Design thinking, Lean and Six-sigma, would be a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience in benchmarking and data research, statistical tools and techniques would be an added advantage.
