Deputy Director, Office of SingHealth Academy
Join us in shaping the future of healthcare education with Singapore's largest public healthcare cluster. We are seeking a Deputy Director to provide strategic leadership for both SingHealth Academy and SIMS, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, Education. You will be responsible for charting the direction and growth of education support services, simulation-based training, and research initiatives whilst overseeing financial sustainability, governance, and business functions across both entities. This role offers the opportunity to establish SingHealth Academy and SIMS as preferred regional partners in healthcare education and simulation training.
What You Will Do:
You will assume strategic leadership in charting direction for education support services and simulation-based education, developing and implementing work plans for both Academy and SIMS whilst driving initiatives to grow the SingHealth Education Pillar. Your role involves overseeing effectiveness and efficiency of business entities within both organisations, developing key performance indicators, and ensuring achievement of strategic objectives. You will drive the development of learning management and audio visual capabilities within Academy to serve as the dedicated SingHealth provider and oversee simulation expertise development to establish SIMS as an international simulation-based education leader. Additionally, you will manage financial sustainability by balancing immediate costs with future viability through diversified funding and strong financial management, foster relationships with stakeholders and industry partners through memorandums of understanding and collaboration agreements and oversee research and evaluation of new technologies for education and training. Your leadership responsibilities include developing, retaining, and recognising staff within both Academy and SIMS, coaching next-level leaders, and ensuring optimal staff performance whilst facilitating career development and operational continuity.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably with Master in Business Administration
• More than 12 years of relevant working experience
• Relevant work experience in healthcare industry and/or event/training management preferred
• Experience with simulation training advantageous
• Recognisable leadership abilities with strong people management and interpersonal skills
• Visionary and passionate about driving healthcare education
• Motivated, creative leader with strong team management abilities Strong negotiation skills with excellent oral and written communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
