SingHealth International Collaborations comprises three strategic outreach offices that support its mission: the International Collaboration Office (ICO), the SingHealth Global Health Office (SGHO), and the Asian Institute for Healthcare Leadership and Management (Asian HEAL). If you are a senior leader with a passion for advancing global health and building meaningful international partnerships, this is an opportunity to shape SingHealth's global health agenda at the highest level. You will support the engagement of strategic partners locally and overseas, including government bodies, philanthropic organisations, academic and healthcare institutions, working closely with the leads of ICO and Asian HEAL. You will coordinate and support global health activities across the cluster, and will concurrently serve as Deputy Director of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute (SDGHI), a joint institute of the Academic Medical Centre (AMC).

 

What You Will Do:

In the area of strategic planning, you will lead the development of SGHO's and SDGHI's strategic plans in consultation with senior leadership, conducting strategic analysis, market research and environment scanning to inform strategic direction. You will facilitate strategic planning sessions and board presentations, and establish strategic performance indicators and monitoring frameworks. You will also lead HR strategy, talent management and organisational development initiatives within SGHO and SDGHI, driving culture development and training to ensure an effective and supported workforce.

 

On the partnerships front, you will establish, build and maintain strong relationships with local and international partners to further SingHealth and AMC's global health agenda, building a portfolio of strategic engagements that enhances SingHealth and SDGHI's brand regionally and internationally.You will also develop financial planning frameworks, budget management systems and financial controls, including oversight of internal financial operations, procurement processes and resource allocation. This includes leading annual budgeting and financial planning, as well as establishing close working relationships with funding agencies, philanthropy organisations and family offices to support global health activities.

 

From a governance perspective, you will establish and maintain governance frameworks, compliance monitoring systems and regulatory adherence protocols through proper internal policies, procedures and guidelines, overseeing legal and regulatory compliance across all SGHO and SDGHI functions and managing internal communications and stakeholder engagement.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, Science, Business, Marketing or Communications
  • Minimum 14 years of exposure in healthcare or related industry, with at least 8 years of managerial or leadership experience
  • Good understanding of Singapore's healthcare landscape and regulations, as well as healthcare systems across the Asia-Pacific region and the philanthropy funding landscape.
  • Exposure to global health will be advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organisational transformation and capability building
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to analyse complex situations and translate long-term plans into actionable outcomes
  • Proven ability to build and sustain meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • A collaborative team player who prioritises collective success and contributes positively to team culture.
  • Overseas travelling is required
