Director, Office for Service Transformation
Join SingHealth's Division of Innovation and Transformation and lead the charge in revolutionising healthcare delivery across Singapore's largest public healthcare cluster. You will drive transformative initiatives that reshape patient journeys, implement innovative care models, and create sustainable improvements that benefit both patients and healthcare professionals throughout our network of hospitals and institutions.
Reporting to Group Director, Innovation and Transformation, you identify and execute cluster-level initiatives that enhance healthcare delivery. You will collaborate with institution champions, domain leads, and national bodies including MOH/MOHT to operationalise service transformation initiatives whilst ensuring the patient voice remains central to all planning and implementation efforts.
What You Will Do:
You will develop and execute comprehensive transformation plans for key patient service journeys, working across the cluster to elevate impactful ground-level projects and form task forces to ensure deliverables and timelines are met. Your role involves engaging internal and external stakeholders in SingHealth's service integration efforts, conducting horizon scanning to identify best practices and impactful innovations that can transform healthcare processes and patient experience, and serving as priority area co-lead for Academic Medicine Innovation Institute (AMII) in adoption and scaling initiatives. You will collaborate closely with the SingHealth Patient Advocacy Network to actively seek patient input, manage annual workplans and budget submissions, provide regular reports to senior leadership and oversee all aspects of staff management and development for your team. Additionally, you will conduct due diligence on project budgets, seek external funding opportunities, and develop clear outcome measures for sustainability of transformation initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
- Minimum 16 years' work experience preferably in healthcare, project management and process improvement, with 10 years of managerial experience.
- Knowledge and skills in process improvement methodologies such as Design Thinking, Lean and Six Sigma would be advantageous
- Experience in benchmarking, data research, and statistical tools would be beneficial
- Strategic and analytical thinking with critical thinking skills and willingness to think outside the box
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop junior staff
- Strong team player with peer leadership abilities and action-oriented approach
