Executive, Joint Office of Academic Medicine
You play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of Academic Medicine (AM) Funds through effective funds planning, management and reporting across the SingHealth Duke-National University of Singapore (NUS) Academic Medical Centre. You are required to be adept at Duke-NUS and NUS policies on gift donations, fund disbursements and grant management.
Your job scope involves preparation, processing and maintaining records of fund disbursements based on the Letter of Awards of grants and ensuring timely and accurate fund disbursements. You will also be required to monitor and evaluate the financial management practices of grantees and prepare relevant reports on the grant activities.
You will be one of the main points of contact for grantees regarding queries relating to Audits, Letter of Awards, Fund Disbursements and Financial Schedules. These include advising on audit-related matters based on existing policies and best practices, having regular follow-ups and facilitating information sessions to ensure grantees' adherence to grant compliance requirements.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will also be expected to assist in AM events and other ad-hoc tasks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance or Business Management, preferably with at least 3-5 years' experience in audit, accounting and/or grant management and 2 years' experience in healthcare or education industry
- Strong understanding of grant funding processes as well as accounting principles and practices
- Proficient with grant and financial software, and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Analytical thinker with ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Meticulous and resourceful
- Team player with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
