Executive (Patient Safety Quality), Institute for Patient Safety & Quality
You will play a key role in shaping patient-centred initiatives by applying human-centred design principles to improve Patient Safety Quality (PSQ). This involves providing expert feedback on design elements, generating innovative ideas to promote a PSQ culture, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient safety and enhance both patient and staff experiences and outcomes. You will actively engage in identifying and addressing patient safety and experience challenges through conducting design thinking workshops and facilitating improvement projects which include the development of user-centred solutions (including the design of prototypes).
This role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams to pinpoint improvement opportunities, conduct design thinking workshops, and devise innovative solutions that improve patient care and operational efficiency across clinical and non-clinical departments using structured methodology and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience and demonstrated competency in design thinking methodologies
- Experience in conducting design thinking workshops and facilitating collaborative design processes
- Understanding of healthcare industry and patient-centred design principles would be advantageous
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality, and standards, including a dedication to continuous improvement, innovation, and effective communication for collaborations and learning
