Healthcare Informatics Officer, Office of DGCMIO (Research), (Contract)
Join SingHealth's Office of Deputy Group Chief Medical Informatics Officer (Research) and play a pivotal role in shaping how clinical research is conducted across Singapore's largest public healthcare cluster. This is a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of research operations, healthcare technology, and data, contributing directly to the infrastructure that enables scientific discovery at scale.
We are seeking a Healthcare Informatics Officer to serve as the critical bridge between clinical research teams and Epic's research platform capabilities. You will be responsible for translating complex research protocol requirements into functional Epic-for-Research configurations, ensuring that studies are set up efficiently and compliantly, allowing researchers to focus on discovery.
What You Will Do
Your core responsibility will be configuring and maintaining Epic-for-Research builds across the full study lifecycle — from translating new protocol requirements into functional system configurations, to troubleshooting existing setups, resolving conflicts, and implementing updates as studies evolve. You will manage the onboarding of new protocols within agreed timelines whilst serving as the first point of support for research teams, ensuring smooth and compliant study operations at every stage.
You will develop and deliver training programmes, create user documentation, and build ongoing capability within research teams to ensure effective use of Epic's research features. Alongside this, you will optimise end-to-end digital workflows spanning feasibility assessment, cohort discovery, data capture, visualisation, and reporting — supporting feasibility studies using SlicerDicer and enabling automated recruitment processes — whilst upholding data integrity and compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
You will collaborate closely with Principal Investigators, Research Coordinators, clinical staff, and IT teams, serving as a trusted subject-matter expert on Epic research capabilities and participating in cross-functional initiatives to continuously improve research operations. As the team grows, you can expect your responsibilities to evolve to include data analytics, process optimisation, and AI-enabled research workflows.
