Healthcare Informatics Officer, SingHealth Office of Regional Health (Contract)

You will support the Regional Health System (RHS) in managing clinical information systems that assist clinical care teams with decision-making and the management of patients. You will participate in activities required for the successful design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the population health systems such as the electronic medical records system (EMR) and Residents & Partners Relationship Management (RPRM). You will also work closely with the IT Project team and Synapxe to build and implement solutions that meet user requirements for clinical orders, medication, administration, and documentation.

In addition, you will help to develop business continuity practices and processes, across the entire SingHealth Regional Health System including downtime manual clinical operations for population health-related services across SingHealth. You will also coordinate operations on the ground during the period of system outages.

You will be involved in change management, where you will engage clinical care teams to improve awareness of health informatics amongst residents. You will work with the clinical care teams and RHS operations to gather user requirements and feedback, including incorporating best practices into decision support and to improve adoption of clinical IT systems. You will also participate in the development and maintenance of e-training materials for population health IT systems.

You will be required to provide secretariat support for all projects and meetings involving the Health Informatics group, including coordinating members, minutes writing, analysing data and generating presentation materials.

 

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
  • Health Informatics certification, NGEMR certification, and/or project management certification (PMP) would be an added advantage
  • Basic understanding of any programming language (C++, Java, Python, R, Scala, etc.)
  • Able to function independently and communicate well with different stakeholders
  • Possess good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as  Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Candidates familiar with a healthcare clinical setting would be preferred
