Laboratory Technologist, SingHealth Tissue Repository (2-year contract)

You will harvest tissues in the Operating Theatres and collect and process blood specimens from various departments. You will also conduct consent-taking for patients, perform laboratory assays and assist in quality control programmes.

You will be involved in laboratory procedures such as Microtomy and FISH, as well as the extraction of DNA and RNA. You will also be responsible for the preparation of reagents and laboratory materials and inventory stock taking.

Job requirements:

• Diploma in Medical Technology or equivalent
• Independent individual with excellent interpersonal skills and is a strong team player
• Good command of both spoken and written English
• Working experience in a Histopathology laboratory or research environment would be advantageous
