Manager, AI in Medicine Institute (Contract)

We are seeking a Manager to oversee and drive the successful implementation of the Generative AI in Medicine Transformation (GAIMx) programme across SingHealth and Duke-NUS. This role involves managing multi-institutional workstreams, coordinating clinical, research, technical and governance partners, ensuring project milestones are delivered on time and within budget, and establishing operational foundations for a scalable, ethical, and trusted Generative AI platform for the cluster.

Key Responsibilities:
You will lead, plan, and manage all GAIMx programme workstreams including datasets, infrastructure, governance, AI tools, and education. Your role involves coordinating with departments across clusters. 
You will oversee budget utilisation, procurement, deliverables, resources, and manpower allocation whilst preparing governance documents and providing secretariat support for committees. Regular reporting to senior management and ensuring ethical AI and data compliance will be essential aspects of your role.
Risk identification including data access delays, infrastructure dependencies, and vendor slippage will be crucial, along with proposing mitigation plans. You will also coordinate training activities for AI literacy, AI translators, and AI expert tracks.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, Biomedical Science, Business, or equivalent
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in project/programme management (healthcare, digital health, AI/Information Technology preferred)
• Experience working with technical teams (AI, data, software vendors)
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong collaborator and relationship-builder
• Works independently with initiative and ownership, and with team-orientated approach
• Able to navigate ambiguity and manage complex, multi-stakeholder environments
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and outcome-driven
• Project management certification and healthcare experience is an advantage
• Familiarity with data governance, healthcare systems, or AI technologies is an advantage
