Medical Laboratory Technologist, Eastern General Hospital Planning Office

We are looking for a highly motivated medical laboratory technologist to join our dynamic team at Eastern General Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a passion for clinical diagnostics and commitment in delivering quality patient care.

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will:

• Perform routine laboratory analysis on biological specimens using a wide range of specialized equipment according to standard operation procedures in the Biochemistry, Haematology, Microbiology, Blood Bank or Anatomical Pathology Laboratory.

• Ensure accurate laboratory test results are reported within turnaround time.

• Perform function check and equipment maintenance.

• Monitor inventory and supplies for smooth running of daily operations.

• Participate in quality assurance and management activities according to established policies and procedures.

• Work closely with laboratory supervisors to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Recognised degree in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Medical Technology or equivalent.

• Candidates with significant years of relevant work experience will be preferred and can be considered for senior positions. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• May be required to work on rotating shifts.

• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
