Senior Assistant / Manager, Office for Innovation (Contract)

We're seeking a dynamic Senior Assistant Manager or Manager to lead innovation grant schemes and advance the Academic Medicine Innovation Institute's strategic priorities. Working within SHOFI’s Division of Innovation and Transformation, you'll oversee the complete grant lifecycle while collaborating with diverse stakeholders to cultivate an innovation-driven culture and deliver transformative healthcare solutions.
What You Will Do:
You will manage innovation grant schemes from pre-award preparations through to post-award monitoring, convening evaluation panels and ensuring accountability of funded projects. Your role involves developing dashboards to track grant-related data for senior management, including success rates and participation across different domains. You'll provide advisory support to grantees, conduct roadshows to raise awareness of innovation opportunities, and ensure projects deliver on their milestones and key performance indicators according to agreed terms.
Working closely with Academic Medicine Innovation Institute priority area leads, you'll support programmes spanning Adoption and Scaling, Co-Development and Test-bedding, Emerging Technologies and Data, Ecosystem Building, and Culture Building initiatives. You'll organise webinars and events to engage innovators, draft utilisation reports and presentation materials for management, and support departmental strategy formulation and review. Additionally, you'll provide secretariat functions for meetings, maintain relevant policies and guidelines, and foster relationships with SingHealth institutions and external stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
- Preferably 4-6 years of relevant experience in healthcare or innovation, with local healthcare system experience advantageous
- Knowledge of healthcare innovation processes and commercialisation
- Experience in grant administration and stakeholder management.Experience organising webinars and communications via digital/social tools. Strategic and analytical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring junior staff
- Action-oriented and target-focused approach
- Adaptability in handling complex and ambiguous situations
