Senior Associate Executive, Joint Office of Academic Medicine (1 Year Contract)

You play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of Academic Medicine (AM) Funds through effective funds planning, management and reporting across the SingHealth Duke-National University of Singapore (NUS) Academic Medical Centre. You will manage gift donations, fund disbursements and grant management in alignment with Duke-NUS and NUS policies.

 

You are expected to review financial schedules to ensure compliance and accuracy of details, as well as to maintain the tracking system for the review. You will also be required to prepare and process approved fund disbursements as per the Letter of Awards and to follow up with finance if to ensure timely and accurate fund disbursements.

 

Other duties include serving as the primary point of contact for grantees regarding Fund Disbursements and Financial Schedules, following up with them and maintaining thorough records of grant-related activities and communications to ensure compliance to grant compliance requirements. You will also support the monitoring and evaluating the financial management practices of grantees and assist in the preparation of reports or presentations on grant activities and outcomes for stakeholders.

 

Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will also be expected to assist in AM events and other ad-hoc tasks.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma preferably in Accountancy, Finance or Business Management, with at least 6 years of prior experience in audit, accounting and/or grant management, including at least 2 years' experience in healthcare or education
  • Strong understanding of grant funding processes as well as accounting principles and practices
  • Proficient with grant and financial software, and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Analytical thinker with ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Meticulous and resourceful
  • Team player with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
