Senior Executive (Engineering), A.L.I.C.E @ SGH Campus (Contract)

A.L.I.C.E @ SGH Campus aims to advance innovation and research in the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre. Located at the SingHealth Tower, the Centre is a 590-square-metre purpose-built centre is equipped with facilities and tools for brainstorming, prototyping, and test-bedding of innovations. It catalyses collaborations between clinicians, healthcare innovators and multidisciplinary industry partners to accelerate healthcare innovations

We are seeking a Senior Executive (Engineering) to play a pivotal role in generating deal flow by identifying initial business fit and scientifically evaluating potential opportunities to enhance the Centre’s value proposition to industrial partners. You will work closely with the Director to source and develop new collaboration opportunities with partners, including early and late-stage innovation enterprises, the venture capital community, research institutions, and other agencies. You will be at the forefront of internal and external partnerships, breakthrough technologies, new ideas, product developments, demonstrations, and test-bedding.

Your responsibilities will include providing engineering/technical support to the academic medical centre innovation project teams and innovators to translate ideas into functional prototypes and advance the technology readiness level of innovation projects. Additionally, you will support the experiential learning of healthcare innovators with the assistance of internal and external partners.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering/Computing with 4 years of relevant working experience
• Be able to identify and formulate new collaboration partnerships
• An excellent collaborator and network builder
• Working knowledge in development, execution and maintenance of membership programmes and community outreach materials
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse stakeholders to advance a programme/project’s value proposition
• Knowledge in technology ideation and incubation leading to deployment and commercialisation of new healthcare technologies/services
• Knowledge in healthcare technologies and market segmentation, partnership agreements, healthcare technology adoption and commercialization
• Resourceful, attentive to detail and quality and strong presentation and technical writing skills
• Good communication and negotiation skills
