We are seeking a Senior Manager to drive innovation across our healthcare cluster by supporting the Leads of the Academic Medicine Innovation Institute (AMII) Priority Areas. You will develop, implement, and monitor various initiatives to advance the objectives of Priority Areas and Enablers, as well as manage innovation grants from pre-award to post-award stages.
Key Responsibilities:
AMII Priority Areas:
- Lead the secretariat team in planning, scheduling, and coordinating innovation-related events and meetings, including proposing agendas, reviewing materials, and following up on post-meeting actions.
- Collaborate with Priority Area Leads and Co-Leads to drive AMII priority areas, ensuring necessary inputs from stakeholders in relevant innovation forums.
- Develop and maintain processes and frameworks to support innovation and facilitate the adoption and scaling of impactful innovations within and beyond the Academic Medical Centre (AMC).
- Organise innovation clinics to provide advisory services for budding innovators and prospective grant applicants.
AMII Funding Initiatives:
- Review and devise implementation details for AMII grant initiatives, balancing support for the innovation community with grant governance.
- Oversee publicity and outreach for grant initiatives, including preparing materials and conducting briefing sessions or roadshows.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring they meet proposed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and intervene timely to address challenges by liaising with relevant offices.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with at least 10 years of working experience, preferably in healthcare management, innovation funding, or related fields
- Knowledge of healthcare innovation processes and commercialisation
- Experience in stakeholder and project management, as well as team leadership
- Experience working within the local healthcare system is advantageous
- Ability to handle complex, ambiguous, and challenging situations in a fluid environment and growing organisation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with team members, dynamic reporting lines, and multiple stakeholders
- Excellent networking and presentation skills
