The upcoming Eastern General Hospital (EGH) aspires to provide excellent, patient-centred care and to improve the health of the population in the east of Singapore. We aim to develop future-ready systems to support patients’ healthcare journeys and to be an employer of choice for our staff.

 

You will engage users, planning teams and partners to leverage technologies to create a productive and high-performing workplace for staff and a good experience for patients and their families at the new EGH. You will also ensure the smooth operations of the EGH Healthcare Living Lab (HLL) with the Development Secretariat, perform integration testing, plan pilots, and engage the multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the smooth implementation of these technologies in the new hospital. You will also work in a team to do research and development for the operation of intelligent systems for healthcare.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computing, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 3 years’ experience in software programming / engineering / integration work
  • Good knowledge in electrical circuitry and PLC
  • Familiar with quick prototyping tools such as Unity/Wire framing/Solidworks
  • Familiar with management of engineering collaboration platforms such as SLACKS/GitHUB
  • Knowledge in software development with robotic platforms, SLAM or related fields
  • Experience in the following is preferred:
  1. Robot Operating Systems (ROS), Gazebo, Unity, Linux, OpenCV
  2. Robotics perception, LIDAR, object tracking, motion planning, machine learning sensor fusion and system engineering
  3. Embedded and real-time systems
  4. Algorithm development in C/C++, Python, Unix shell scripting
  • Team player with excellent planning, analytical and communication skills
  • Possess critical thinking skills and willing to think outside of the box
  • Action-oriented, highly motivated with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to challenging conditions
