We are seeking a dynamic Manager to join our Group Pharmacy team and support the Group Chief Pharmacist in driving strategic pharmacy initiatives across SingHealth institutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of pharmacy services and workforce within one of Singapore’s largest public healthcare cluster.

 

Key Responsibilities

You will lead the planning, development and implementation of strategic workplans and projects across the cluster. You will conduct needs analysis to ensure alignment of strategic workplans with SingHealth and Ministry of Health priorities whilst meeting identified needs and gaps from the ground. The role involves engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including key pharmacy leaders within cluster institutions, to gather input and ensure timely project completion. You will leverage synergies with partners and other domains to optimise effectiveness and impact of work whilst monitoring project timelines and budgets.

Your administrative management responsibilities include developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators for the department and domain, developing and updating work instructions and procedures, preparing reports, proposals and presentations for approval and submission. You will oversee the planning and coordination of department-level meetings, events and retreats whilst leveraging opportunities for innovation and process improvement to ensure organisational efficiency.

The position requires you to plan and oversee annual budget submission for the department, monitor departmental finances, and ensure sufficient resources are allocated for different projects. You will provide guidance and support in implementing new initiatives and projects, ensuring sufficient groundwork is completed to facilitate seamless implementation of new work processes. Additionally, you will participate in developing innovative techniques to enhance work processes and manage stakeholders' resistance to change when new workflows are introduced.

Staff supervision and development forms a crucial part of this role, where you will provide guidance and supervision to staff, plan for their growth and development within the department, and facilitate teamwork among the team.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least 6 years of working experience in administration and project management, preferably in healthcare-related industries
  • At least 2 years of experience in supervising a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Possess the ability to motivate, coach and guide staff
  • An analytical thinker who can work independently under tight deadlines
