Biostatistician (Contract)

Job Description

• He/She will be part of the Research Department to help provide statistical support for clinical studies, which includes study design, sample size calculation, patient randomization, data interpretation and reporting of results, and statistical analyses. The role requires working closely with collaborators from academic and healthcare institutions as well as government agencies wherever applicable.
• He/She will also conduct biostatistical consultation clinics and mentoring to researchers or analysts as well as provide training on topics related to biostatistics.
• He/She will also conduct literature review on specific research projects, provide statistical inputs to research proposals, be involved in scientific writing and/or generate technical reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics/Biostatistics/Mathematics
• Highly competent and knowledgeable in at least 2 of the statistical software (STATA, SPSS, SAS)
• At least 6 years of experience using statistical software, preferably in a clinical research environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in English (written and oral). Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good report-writing ability.
• Strong methodological background in applied statistics and modelling with a track record of scientific publications is advantageous.
• Good interpersonal skills, able to work independently with minimal supervision
