Assistant Manager, Finance / Senior Accountant
Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated finance professional to join our Finance team as Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager, Finance. The role provides exposure to a broad range of finance and accounting functions, including financial and management accounting, costing, corporate governance, budgeting, reporting and financial analysis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial and management reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies, and providing financial insights to support business operations and decision-making.
This role is suitable for accounting professionals who are meticulous, analytical and keen to develop their technical accounting, reporting and business partnering capabilities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records in accordance with accounting standards and organisational policies.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Support costing, profitability analysis and other financial analysis work.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and audit schedules.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, statutory requirements, corporate policies and internal controls.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide financial information and analysis to support business operations.
- Support process improvement initiatives and system-related projects where required.
- Prepare reports and analyses for management and other internal or external stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy or other professional accounting qualifications recognised by ISCA.
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, depending on seniority of appointment.
- Prior experience in a reputable public accounting firm will be an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Experience with SAP or other accounting systems will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous, organised and able to work under pressure and meet tight timelines.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work independently while being an effective team player.
- Adaptable and able to work in a dynamic environment.
