Job Description:

We are looking for psychologist who is interested in promoting equitable access to psychological care and building the psychology services in primary care. 

 

The incumbent will work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to provide psychological care using evident based practice that empower individuals to achieve optimal mental health and wellbeing. He/She will have opportunity to work on de-stigmatizing mental health and create a safe environment where individuals feel empowered to seek help. He/She will have opportunities to design and conduct related workshops/training program that enhances resilience of individuals and building of a caring culture in SHP. 

 

The psychologist is expected to: 

 

  • Conduct screening by using validated tools like GAD-7, PHQ9 and other mental health questionnaires
  • Apply theoretical and professional knowledge to formulate good psychological assessment and select appropriate therapeutic interventions to work with individuals in optimizing their mental health.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions using appropriate outcome measurements 
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals comprising doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals
  • Design and conduct mental health related workshops/talks 
  • Support the SHP Staff Support program in providing appropriate training to staff and Peer Supporters
  • Participate in QI or research projects

 

Requirements:

  • Master of Clinical or Counselling Psychology or other relevant MPsych (MA/MSc), DPsych
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in a related setting is an added advantage but not a must
  • Good team player as well as able to work independently
  • High level of interpersonal, communication and report writing skills
  • The candidate should be registered or eligible for registration with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) as a Registered Psychologist
