Senior Assistant Manager / Assistant Manager, Nursing Administration

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join the Department of Nursing Administration as an Assistant Manager / Senior Assistant Manager (Administrative). You will play a pivotal role in administrative and operational support to the Department of Nursing Administration to ensure efficient delivery of nursing services and effective resource management. The role involves close collaboration with nursing leaders, corporate departments, and external stakeholders to support workforce planning, nursing projects, and overall service excellence. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Support the Chief Nurse and Nursing Administration team in executing administrative, operational, and governance functions to drive nursing excellence and service quality. 
  2. Oversee budgeting and expenditure tracking for nursing operations, ensuring alignment with institutional financial policies. Monitor utilization of manpower and material resources, and support initiatives to optimize cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency. 
  3. Plan, implement, and coordinate projects/ events, including digital transformation initiatives and service improvement programs. Ensure timely implementation, documentation, and evaluation of project outcomes. 
  4. Compile, analyse, and present data on nursing work activities, productivity, and workload indicators to support resource optimisation and informed decision-making.  Prepare reports and dashboards on key indicators for dissemination and submission. 
  5. Coordinate the development, tracking, and reporting of the Nursing Division’s annual work plan and budget, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and financial accountability. 
  6. Support nursing manpower planning by maintaining accurate records, tracking staffing levels and movements, and generating reports on headcount, deployment, and utilization. Provide data insights for strategic workforce planning and resource allocation. 
  7. Oversee administrative matters related to nursing staff, including professional development, deployment, and credentialing. Coordinate student learning attachments, ensuring a supportive learning environment in line with educational and regulatory standards. 
  8. Provide logistical and secretariat support for meetings, committees, audits, and nursing administrative reporting. 

 

Requirements

  • A recognised degree. 
  • At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in healthcare administration or operations support; experience in a nursing or clinical setting will be advantageous. 
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and data analysis. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data analytics, dashboards or reporting tools will be an advantage.
