Role Overview
The Assistant Manager will play a key role in managing strategic collaborations with pharmaceutical and healthcare industry partners, ensuring smooth programme execution and stakeholder engagement. This position requires strong project management skills, industry experience, and the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Industry & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary liaison between SERI and industry partners (pharma, biotech, medtech) to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including sponsors, collaborators, and regulatory bodies.
- Support negotiation and execution of collaboration agreements in partnership with TD&C leadership.
Programme & Project Management
- Oversee key programme activities and timelines for multi-stakeholder projects.
- Coordinate project team meetings (internal and external) and ensure effective communication across all parties.
- Liaise with internal departments (HR, Finance, Procurement, IT) to facilitate project needs.
Grant & Contract Management
- Manage research grants and collaborative funding agreements.
- Ensure compliance with grant and contract requirements, including budget tracking and reporting.
Meeting Coordination
- Organize and facilitate Joint Research Committee and stakeholder meetings.
- Prepare agendas, circulate materials, and track action items for follow-up.
General Administration
- Maintain awareness of SERI’s administrative and grant policies.
- Support logistics for industry visits and partnership meetings.
Education & Experience
- Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical, Business, or related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in project or programme management within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.
- Proven experience managing industry-sponsored research collaborations and multi-stakeholder projects.
- Familiarity with Singapore’s healthcare research ecosystem and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
