Business Development Manager

You will be required to assist in business development activities and be responsible for the increased brand recognition and financial growth of Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) through developing and implementing marketing and engagement strategies, increasing brand awareness of the various services offered by SNEC, focusing on meeting customers’ needs and market relevance. The candidate should possess strategic and collaborative who has experience in e-learning industry.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Identify new leads and move them through the sales life cycle.
  • Assist in developing and drive growth strategies locally, regionally and globally.
  • Oversee project evaluation, and provide recommendation to the management and Board on the possible business development (BD) opportunities.  
  • Review the financial, tax, legal, operations, IT or other aspects as required, and overseeing due diligence exercise (where necessary) of the proposed BD opportunities and identify the possible risks areas.
  • Review/construct financial model for evaluation of BD opportunities and assist in getting inputs from relevant departments for the preparation of financial model. 
  • Review legal documents with support from internal legal counsel to understand regulatory framework and be able to build legal/regulatory considerations into deal structure.
  • Lead/assist negotiation of commercial and legal terms with counterparts.
  • Review gaps and business opportunities with stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present papers for project approval as required. 
  • Maintain healthy relationships with partners, internal and external stakeholders to drive projects. 
  • Stay close to market activities and take actions when necessary. 

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experiences.  Experience in healthcare industry (in particular training and education) will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of marketing strategies.
  • Good analytical, business written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft EXCEL, Power Point and Financial modelling skills.
  • A keen grasp of multi-modal learning options and their best uses in teaching and learning.
  • Extensive experience developing educational program partnerships and launching programs locally and regionally with clinical institutions /universities / institutes of higher education is added advantage.
