Research Officer (Tissue Engineering)

The incumbent will be on a tissue-engineering team and will be expected to be involved in research on corneal nerves, corneal neuropathy, and to perform molecular diagnostics. He / She will assist the lead investigators and clinicians in the execution of the project(s). He/ She will be expected to:

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform ELISA, PCR, image analysis and relevant lab experiments

  • Assist Principal Investigators in preparing research reports and in publishing research outcomes in appropriate journals of international standing.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and other requirements for the proper functioning of the laboratory.

  • Manage the purchase of laboratory equipment, consumables, and reagents.

  • Perform administrative work related to grants

  • Data entry and data collection are required

  • May involve in the manuscript writing

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Biotechnology/Life Sciences or related

  • Expertise in aseptic cell culture techniques is critical to this job

  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills

  • Good to have, but not essential: Experience with confocal microscopy, experience with molecular biology techniques and/or experience in flow cytometry and ELISA
